I have more than 20 years of journalism and copywriting experience, much of it spent writing about media, technology and business as broadcasting correspondent for the Guardian.

Now a freelance writer, I have written for a variety of brands and agencies and am keen to undertake copywriting and other creative opportunities.

At the Guardian I was editor of the annual Media Guardian survey of the 100 most powerful people in media and edited the Guardian’s Media Monkey diary column.

I am also an experienced presenter, hosting the Guardian’s Media Talk podcast and video interviews at Cannes Lions and Advertising Week Europe, and chairing sessions with senior executives at the Edinburgh International TV Festival and for Bafta.

As chair of the TV critics and writers association, the Broadcasting Press Guild, for two years, I twice hosted its annual awards, presenting prizes to Olivia Colman, Michael Palin and Bruce Forsyth among many others.

I previously wrote for The Times, Independent, London Evening Standard and Broadcast magazine.
